ABOUT
We are a small rural school in Harrison County, West Virginia. Here, hunting and fishing are as much a part of our lives as anything else. We are, however, wanting to learn more specifically about the great sport of fly fishing. This year, we decided to form a Fly Fishing Club, and as of now, we have ten members. We hope to learn everything we can about tying flies, fly casting, and catching fish.

I am a senior at South Harrison High School. My father taught me how to fly fish and tie flies when I was ten. I have fly fished many streams, lakes, and rivers across the state of West Virginia. The last two years I have been fly fishing with a kayak throughout West Virginia. I want share my passion for fly fishing with my fellow SH students.

I have loved fishing and hunting since I was old enough to walk. My whole family spends a lot of time in the outdoors. I joined SH Fly Club because, even though I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves bass fishing, I have never fly fished, and I would love to learn how.

I love to fly fish. I started fly fishing when I was ten years old. Fishing is a very good experience for everyone to get into. Outdoors is life!

I've been fishing for over three years, and its been amazing. Fishing is one of the best things to do and I absolutely love it. Now I'm ready to learn to fly fish and learn to tie flies. I can't wait to travel and see the mountains and fly fish those rivers and streams.

I love the sport of fishing. I have fished since I was four, but, as I started to get older, I wanted to get into fly fishing. I have never fly fished before, so I joined the club to learn all about fly fishing.

I love sports, hunting, and fishing. I play Basketball and run Track. I joined the Fly Fishing Club because I like to fish. My dad never got into fly fishing, so it would be nice to teach him. I have always thought it was cool how fly fishing works. I would like to learn an new skill and another way to fish. Also, I like to learn new things.

I have been teaching and coaching at South Harrison High School for eleven years and have been fly fishing for over twenty. I have had the opportunity to fish in Montana and Wyoming, but the West Virginia rivers are still my home. When approached by Nick Rush to begin a fly fishing club, I was more than excited to share my love of fly fishing and fly tying with my students.
